Wall Climbing Gecko

Okay, so we just spent $3,000 getting our living room painted last month. When my husband ordered this thing, I literally said "If that scratches ONE wall, you're sleeping on the couch." I made him test it in the garage first (yes, I'm that person).You guys... it's been three weeks. My 7-year-old has driven this thing on every wall in our house. The bathroom mirror. The kitchen cabinets. Even the hallway where we have that fancy textured wallpaper (okay, it didn't stick there, but it didn't damage it either). ZERO marks. Not a single scratch. I've inspected with a flashlight like a crazy person. Nothing.It's so lightweight that even when it falls (which happens when the battery dies mid-ceiling), it just kind of... floats down? My son says it's like a feather. I say it's a miracle because I was ready to return this SO fast. Now I'm the one asking if we can get a second one so I can race him. Don't tell my husband I admitted he was right.

I called my wife in and she thought I was pulling some kind of prank.When we gave it to Tommy, twenty people watched that kid lose his mind. Every adult in that room wanted to try it. My son-in-law, who's an engineer, kept saying "But HOW though?" I've never felt so proud giving a gift. It's real. It works. If a cranky old man like me is impressed, your kids will be blown away.

I put my phone down for 45 minutes. That never happens. My son turned it on in the living room while I was answering work emails. I looked up for "just a second" to see what he was doing.Next thing I know, I'm on the floor with him, we're both trying to steer it through a obstacle course he built with couch cushions, and I haven't checked my phone once.My husband walked in and just started laughing. He grabbed the remote and we all took turns seeing who could make it do a full loop around the room without falling.I can't remember the last time the three of us just... played. No TV in the background. No tablets. Just us being idiots with a car on the ceiling.That's worth way more than what we paid.
